59/07/23 - Chairman’s Opening Address: The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

 

60/07/23 - Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given – Cllr J Dring

 

61/07/23 - Notes of the last meeting held on 14 June 23 to be approved as the minutes - It was resolved by all Councillors at the meeting that the notes of the above meeting were approved and signed as minutes.

 

62/07/23 – New Clerk – Contract was discussed and passed round and agreed by all councillors in attendance.

 

63/07/23 - Report on matters outstanding – The Chairman reported that all materials have now been purchased for the Bus Stop and he will set time aside to complete this.  The Clerk had a walk around with Rowan Smith from Highways regarding pot holes pavements and pavement edges.  All the reported pot holes have now completed.  Pot Holes are still outstanding by the plough pub and New Field Drive.  Also, there are going to be some slow signs painted in the road in Vacherie Lane.

 

64/07/23 - Declarations of interest – No declarations were received

 

65/07/23 - Financial Matters & Clerk’s Report

 

66/07/23 - a) Clerk’s vacancy updateThe vacancy has now been filled

 

67/07/23 - b) Budget Report – The Sid fund had a £43.93 donation.  However, funds do need to be raised by the committee as the price just keeps increasing and currently the balance for the SID is not anywhere near the total required at the moment.  After some discussion, the Chairman said that if we are going to fund raise we do need to have a major event.

 

68/07/23 - c) Payments - The Council resolved to pay the following:

 

Cllr G Melbourne Fuel for cutting the playpark £8.51

Cllr G Everard Fuel for cutting the grass£31.88

Carolyn BarberReam of Paper£4.49

69/07/23 - Planning Applications

 

23/0694/HOUS – 2 Storey Side extension

23/0426/HOUS – 2 storey side extension approved

No one had any objections.

 

Bus stop renovation – as discussed minute ref. 63/07/23.

 

70/07/2023 - Items from the Public Forum and updates from Councillors -

Cllr Everard mentioned that the gate needed repairing which he will do.

Cllr Taylor requested that she be allowed to put some documents in the library regarding Electro Sensitivity.

Cllr Pout reported that he is going to put up the weather vane on the church and asked if we can arrange an event to publicise it.

 

The Village newsletter is going to be re established and Cllr Smith is going to do this.

 

Date & Time of next meeting - The next Parish Council Meeting will be 13th September at 7.30pm.
