North Kyme Parish Council Meeting
Minutes
Date: Wednesday
15th April 2026
Venue: North Kyme Village Hall Time: 7.00 p.m.
Present: Chair – Cllr S Spry, Cllr N Taylor, Cllr J Dring, Cllr A Rue, Cllr R Richards. Cllr D O’Doherty.
Also in Attendance was Mrs Carolyn Barber – Clerk, District Cllr A Whittle and Volunteer - Cat Cunningham.
1. Chairman’s Opening Address - The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting.
2. Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given - No Apologies.
3. Declarations of Interest-councillors must declare interests in planning or any
items on the agenda. Nothing Declared
4. To elect a Chairman of the Council, in accordance with Local Government Act
1972 s15(2) and to receive the Chairman’s declaration of acceptance of office.
It was proposed Seconded and Resolved that Cllr A Rue was elected as Chairman.
5. To elect a Vice Chairman of the Council, and to receive the Vice Chairman’s
declaration of acceptance of office.
It was proposed Seconded and Resolved that Cllr D O’Doherty was elected as Vice
Chair.
6. To confirm the appointment of the Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (By
resolution the Parish Council may decide to move this item to the last on the
agenda and exclude the Press and Public as per Public Bodies (admission to
meetings) Act 1960).
It was proposed Seconded and Resolved that Mrs C Barber would continue as Clerk &
R.F.O.
7. Policy Adoption and Review. Adoption of Standing Orders, Asset Register and
other Policies adopted by the Council.
All Policies listed were adopted by the Council and standing Orders and Financial Regs
were also adopted. The Asset register was discussed all Councillors would look around
the village and in storerooms to ensure everything is on the list that should be and
report back at the Council meeting 19th June 2026.
