Minutes for Annual Parish Council Meeting
Date: Wednesday 14th May 2025 Venue: North Kyme Village Hall Time: 6.30 p.m.
Present: Cllr G Melbourne, Cllr N Taylor, Cllr G Everard, Cllr S Spry, Cllr A Rue, Dis Cllr A Whittle
In Attendance Mrs Carolyn Barber Clerk & RFO
1. Chairman’s Opening Address
2. Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given - Cllr J Dring had a prior engagement and Cllr R Rhys has been deployed with the Air force.
3. Declarations of Interest-Councillors must declare interests in planning or any items on the agenda. None were declared.
4. To elect a Chairman of the Council, in accordance with Local Government Act 1972 s15(2) and to receive the Chairman’s declaration of acceptance of office. Cllr Rue proposed and Cllr Spry seconded that Cllr Melbourne was to be Chairman. Cllr Melbourne accepted and completed the declaration of acceptance.
5. To elect a Vice Chairman of the Council, and to receive the Vice Chairman’s declaration of acceptance of office. Cllr Rue proposed and Cllr Everard seconded that Cllr Spry was to be Vice Chairman. Cllr Spry accepted and completed the declaration of acceptance.
6. To confirm the appointment of the Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (By resolution the Parish Council may decide to move this item to the last on the agenda and exclude the Press and Public as per Public Bodies (admission to meetings) Act 1960). Cllr Spry Proposed And Cllr Melbourne Seconded That Mrs Barber was to continue as Clerk and R.F.O.
7. Policy Adoption and Review. Adoption of Standing Orders, Asset Register and other Policies adopted by the Council. – Policies were adopted and reviewed as well as Standing Orders the Asset register was discussed and Clerk will update it.
